Known as the "Oriental Core Port", Shanghai is playing an increasingly important role in the domestic IC industry. Not long ago, Shanghai announced some achievements in the field of integrated circuits. At present, Shanghai has achieved mass production of 14 nanometer advanced technology, breakthroughs in 90 nanometer lithography machine, 5 nanometer etching machine, 12 inch large silicon chip, domestic CPU, 5G chip and other fields, and has formed an integrated circuit scale of 250 billion yuan. Since the beginning of this year, despite the impact of the COVID-19, the industrial scale in the first half of this year has reached 120 billion yuan, maintaining a growth rate of more than 17%, and is expected to exceed 300 billion yuan throughout the year.
Behind this, the Yangtze River Delta has gathered a number of large enterprises that have the right to speak in this field, as well as a number of "small giant" enterprises and "specialized and new" enterprises in subdivided fields, which have become an important support for the continuous realization of new breakthroughs in the integrated circuit industry. At present, the scale of the Yangtze River Delta integrated circuit industry accounts for 58.3% of the country's total, including 48.9%, 47.2% and 78.4% of the design, manufacturing and testing industries.
